Nike said on Thursday that former senior executive Elliott Hill will rejoin the company to succeed John Donahoe as president and CEO, as the sportswear giant shakes up its leadership amid efforts to revive sales and battle rising competition.

The company's shares rose 7.6% in overnight trading.

FedEx reported a steep quarterly profit drop and lowered its full-year revenue forecast on Thursday after its customers continued to trade down from speedy, pricey delivery to cheaper, slower options.

Shares in the Memphis-based delivery giant tumbled 11.3% in overnight trading, dragging shares in rival United Parcel Service down 2.5%.

Palantir shares fell 1.4% in overnight trading amid a report of share block sale.

Morgan Stanley is selling 10 million shares of Palantir ( PLTR ) for an unidentified holder, according to an email viewed by Seeking Alpha. The shares are being offered for $35.90 to $36.83. The trade date is set for Friday. The sale is described as an unregistered secondary re-sale ( 100% secondary ) .

The volatile Trump Media & Technology stock will face a crucial day. Trump, and other early investors, have been barred from selling their shares under a lockup agreement that took effect when the company went public following a merger with a blank-check firm in late March.

Those restrictions have expired as soon as the closing bell Thursday.

DJT shares dropped 2.8% in overnight trading.
