突破设计与科技边界 第二届“设计深圳”举行
The 2nd edition of Design Shenzhen, a new design event from the influential Design Shanghai exhibition, took place from March 21 to 24 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District, taking visitors on an exhilarating journey into the world of design innovation and technological integration.
3月21日至24日,第二届“设计深圳”在深圳会展中心举办,带领设计界人士和公众一起探索设计创新与技术融合的可能性。
Themed “the Fusion of Design and Technology,” the four-day event showcased cutting-edge design brands and innovative products from China and abroad. Collaborating with renowned designers, architects, and artists, the exhibition delved deep into the forefront of design industry trends, echoing the dynamic spirit of Shenzhen, a UNESCO Creative City of Design.
本届设计深圳围绕“设计与科技的魅力交融”,向公众展示国内外知名的设计品牌和革命性的前瞻产品,并携手知名设计师、建筑师、艺术家,共同探讨设计产业前沿趋势,一起见证“设计之都”深圳的活力与创新。
An exhibition highlight was “Good Design Select,” curated by Shi Xiaoxi. It featured the Meizu 20 INFINITY smartphone, a Chinese design that won a Good Design Award in 2023. Through the theme of “Why is this Good Design,” the exhibition meticulously examined the concepts, culture, materials, engineering, craftsmanship, form, process, color, production, and technology involved in its production.
本届展会一大亮点是由知名工业设计师时晓曦策展的“Good Design Select”设计活动,甄选了2023年获得 G-Mark大奖的代表性中国区设计——MEIZU 20 INFINITY,通过主题“ #这个设计为什么好”,从理念、文化、材料、工程、工艺、形态、过程、色彩、生产、品牌愿景等多元角度让中国观众可以近距离感受到获得世界大奖的中国设计是如何诞生的。

The Netherlands showcased sustainable design at the “Dutch Design Dynamics” booth in Hall 7. Efstathios Andreou, the consul general of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, said they displayed sustainable bikes, strollers and other projects to promote a “livable and circular world.”
7号馆的“荷兰设计:与时之变”展位展示了荷兰的可持续设计产品。荷兰驻广州总领事安卓先生表示,他们展示了可持续自行车、婴儿车和其他产品,旨在提高公众对构建“宜居和循环世界”的意识。
“The Netherlands is a cycling nation. We have biking in our DNA, it’s good for the planet. We’re here to show the circular and livable combination which can really come together,” Andreou said.
荷兰是自行车王国。安卓先生表示:“骑自行车已经融入我们的基因,这不仅对地球有益,也证明循环和宜居的生活是可以并行不悖的。”
Falling on World Sleep Day on March 21, the opening day of the event, Design Shenzhen partnered with David Hugh, a U.K.-based health innovation firm. Their “WellConnect Health Technology Special Exhibition” featured cutting-edge technologies like brain-computer interfaces and levitation technology.

David Wickett, designer of Aiora and a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, said that it was his first time in Shenzhen. He added that Shenzhen is an international city where “things can start to happen.” Wickett said that he expected to make connections with other brands, dealers, and distributors as well as attract customers.

The popular “IDEA BOX” feature had returned this year. Inspired by the concept of a “box” and centered on “lifestyle,” it aimed to establish a comprehensive ecosystem for object design. By connecting domestic and international high-quality channels and platforms, it seeks to assist brands in their continuous evolution towards commercialization.
在首届设计深圳中极具人气的「灵感箱子IDEA BOX」特别策划今年再次回归,该版块以“箱子”为灵感,围绕“生活方式”展开,旨在打造一个关于物件设计的完整生态圈,链接国内外优质渠道平台以帮助品牌在商业化的方向持续成长。
On March 22, the event’s main forum explored the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on design. Speakers included Leon Krykhtin, the founder and creative director of LKDN, who will discuss AI and spatial computing, and Martha Tsigkari, of Foster + Partners, who will address disruptive technologies in architecture, engineering, and construction.
展览次日的主论坛上,多位重磅嘉宾深度探讨了AI如何赋能设计行业。LKDN创始人兼创意总监Leon Krykhtin分享了人工智能和空间计算在建筑、设计和艺术中的应用;Foster + Partners高级合伙人兼ARD部门负责人Martha Tsigkari介绍了建筑学、工程学和建筑中的颠覆性技术。
